Acorn TV’s excellent Art Detectives starring Stephen Moyer and Nina Singh is returning for Season 2.
According to AMC Global Media, the series will soon start filming the second season as well as a two-part special which will air in December. The six-episode Season 2 will premiere on Acorn TV sometime in 2027.
Art Detectives Number One New Series Premiere
Art Detectives Season 1 was the the number one new series premiere for Acorn TV. Since then, Brooke Shields’ You’re Killing Me has topped that feat.
There is no doubt that Acorn TV has become the place for cozy mystery fans to find unique and entertaining mystery series.
Stephen Moyer portrays DI (Detective Inspector) Mick Palmar in Art Detectives. Nina Singh plays his partner DC Shazia Malik. Together, the pair solve art crimes for the Heritage Crime Unit. The crimes are a cornucopia of fine art, antiques, and even murder!
In addition to Moyer and Singh, Larry Lamb also stars. He portrays Ron Palmer, Mick’s father and notorious art-forger.
Stephen Moyer Teases Season 2 Of Acorn TV Series
Art Detectives star Stephen Moyer is also a producer. Needless to say, he is quite happy to be back for more.
Great art, rare antiques, expensive collections and a battered satchel – what’s not to love about Mick Palmer? I’m really looking forward to filming these eight new episodes and reuniting with the brilliant Nina Singh. This new season is packed with drama, excitement, tension and surprises. I can’t wait to be back in Belfast, working alongside our wonderful production team again.
There is not a lot of information on the two-episode December episodes. Will this be holiday-themed? We can only assume that this is possible.
Acorn TV series like Madame Blanc and Harry Wild have offered holiday-themed super-sized episodes. We can assume that this will be the case again with this fantastic art-themed mystery series.
Art Detectives Season 1 is available to stream on Acorn TV. This is one of my top series for 2025. It comes highly recommended.
