‘Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators’ Season 5 Premiere Details

After a very long wait, BritBox will soon be dropping the first episode of Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators Season 5. This is the fun detective series that stars Jo Joyner as hairdresser-turned-sleuth-Lu Shakespeare, Mark Benton as former cop Frank Hathaway, and Patrick Walshe McBride as Sebastian, master of all disguises. In addition, this popular mystery series takes place and is filmed in Stratford Upon Avon, home of The Bard.

Despite the worldwide success of this series, there has been an extra-long hiatus. Moreover, cozy mystery fans have waited three years for this to happen. There are finally new episodes! Here are the details.

BritBox is dropping the first episode of Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators Season 5 on Tuesday, November 25. Furthermore, the network will premiere a new episode every week for a total of 10 in the Season 5 Series.

Here Are The 10 Episode Synopses For ‘Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators’ Season 5

It has been three years since fans of Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators have seen a new episode of this hysterical detective series. Now, BritBox will drop the first episode of this 10 episode season on Tuesday, November 25.

Here are the synopses for all 10 episodes.

  • S5, E1: “Such A Mad Marriage Never Was Before.” In the Season 5 premiere episode, Frank and Lu have to put aside their differences to work with a high-conflict couple that wants them to handle their case. Can the pair work together again?
  • S5, E2: “The Heavenly Harness’d Team.” Lu, Frank and Sebastian got undercover at a corporate retreat. Their job is to suss out who is leaking company intel to a competitor.
  • S5, E3: “Destruction, Blood and Massacre.” Bill and Olivia host a murder-mystery school reunion at their remote manor. However, things get very Agatha Christie when Bill drops dead at dinner, and the phones are out. Can Frank, Lu, and Sebastian figure out who the killer is before they strike again?
  • S5, E4: “A Dark House.” Lu returns home from Australia to find that a stranger has taken over her home and now legally “owning” it! This leads to Lu and Frank looking into a home-theft scam and a murder! They wind up working with DS Keeler (Tomos Eames) to help solve the crime and salvage Lu’s home.
  • S5, E5: “The Endeavour of This Present Breath” Frank and Lu are undercover a the Avon FC match. Their job is to stop any sort of sabotage at this promotion-deciding match. However, when the manager is found murdered, their case has turned into a different sort of investigation.
  • S5, E6: “As I Have Seen A Swan.” A youth crime wave featuring the masked vigilante “The Swan” has turned murderous, as a journalist is found dead. Now, Sebastian goes undercover in the street-art scene as rank and Lu try to solve this strange case.
  • S5, E7: “An Honest Fellow.” DS Keeler reluctantly hires Lu and Frank to help with a shady problem.
  • S5, E8: “Be Not Afraid Of Greatness.” The team needs to solve a crime during a live broadcast.
  • S5, E9: “Daggers Of The Mind.” This latest case has the team working with a cult director and his daughter. It seems that his own creations are haunting him.
  • E5, S10: “Such Sweet Sorrow.” Unfinished business catches up with Frank and Lu as they pose was expectant parents at a hypnobirthing class.
