Hallmark’s multi-generational time travel series The Way Home is coming to Netflix. The first two seasons of the series that stars Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, Evan Williams, Alex Hook, and Jefferson Brown will be available to stream starting on October 1.
However, the irony Is that former Hallmark executive Lisa Hamilton Daly was at Netflix when this series was pitched. Not long after, she brought it to the Hallmark Channel and it became an instant hit.
This fan-favorite is about three generations of the Landry family. Kat Landry (Leigh) has returned to the home she grew up in after her marriage has fallen apart. She brings her daughter Alice (Snow) for the first time. Kat left after a horrible tragedy. This left her estranged from her mother Del (MacDowell).
Now, the three generations try to find a way to be together, as Alice tries to understand what happened that made her mother run from home and never talk about it.
How To Watch ‘The Way Home’ On Netflix
The Way Home Seasons 1-2 will begin streaming on the US Netflix site starting on Wednesday, October 1. Currently, there is no information whether this fan-favorite series will be available to stream elsewhere.
Next, in February 2026, Netflix will stream Season 3. Moreover, later in 2026, Netflix will stream Season 4. That would mean that Hallmark will premiere the fourth season of the multi-generational time travel series early in 2026.
This is not your typical Hallmark series. The magical realism and mystery makes this a very bingeable series. The acting and the fantasy elements makes this a quality series to enjoy with multi-generations.
Each season is 10 30-minute episodes. Therefore, viewers will be able to go through this series fast.
In addition to Netflix adding The Way Home, the streamer will also be adding some Christmas movies including Lacey Chabert’s Haul Out The Holly. Last holiday, Netflix streamed a cornucopia of holiday movies. After that run, many Netflix subscribers also subscribed to Hallmark Plus, the network’s streaming channel.
Currently, all three seasons are currently available to stream on Hallmark+.
