Now that the holidays and Countdown To Christmas are over, Hallmark has been buzzing with a cornucopia of new productions. Moreover, many of the network’s stars have been busy working for the feel-good network and other projects.
What are some of the projects that are coming up in the upcoming months? Here are the latest production updates that Hallmark romance fans want to know.
Hallmark Is Going Bollywood
The first big piece of Hallmark news is that there will be a Bollywood movie! Mumbai-born Nazneen Contractor recently shared on Instagram Stories a photo of Dateline reporter and frequent Hallmark screenwriter Andrea Canning and some of her children. She is featured in a new Hello Canada! article.
In this simple acknowledgement, Nazneen revealed that she co-wrote a Bollywood Romance for Hallmark! Here is what Nazneen wrote:
My Beautiful multi hyphenate writing parter @andreacanning promoting our next project. I love her! Check out her spread @hellowcanadamag.
The social media post includes a caption from Hello Canada! This caption shared the big news before the network had made any sort of announcement.
Snow time! The photographic family look like they’ve stepped onto the set of a feel-good holiday movie-something Andrea knows a thing or two about. The multi-tasking star has written 20 Hallmark screenplays, including the upcoming Bollywood-style romance co-written by and starring Toronto actress Nazneen Contractor.
As of now, there is no further information on this exciting Bollywood romance for the Hallmark Channel. So far, the network has not made an announcement on the title or anything more about this romance.
Stay tuned! More updates, including Nazneen’s costar, filming location, and movie plot. This promises to be an exciting new production. But will it be part of the 2026 lineup?
‘Good Witch’ Seems Closer To Returning
When Good Witch was canceled in 2021, it was unfortunately a victim of new leadership replacing their own original content on the network. Thus, this series ended after seven seasons and a cornucopia of movies. However, Goodies, the loyal fan group, has been hoping and hanging in there for a reunion movie or more.
Now, it seems that it has all been worthwhile. Catherine Bell recently shared on Instagram a fun Good Witch reunion with Chris Potter. But there is more.
According to Screen Rant, Catherine was at a Motor City Comic Con panel. There, she revealed that people want to know if there could be more Good Witch movies.
She shared that her co-stars, James Denton and Catherine Disher, would love it. She then explained how there were many executives in and out of the network when the show ended. Now, EVP of Programming, Michelle Vicary, is back after five years.
They had new executives running the network, and they wanted to do different things, which happens. So, they just brought back Michelle Vicary, who ran the network for 22 years, and we met up as soon as she was back
She said that the next step is the script. “Well, they haven’t written the script, but it has been requested, and it is in the works.”
Depending on how long it takes to develop a movie or two, it could possibly mean something could premiere in 2026. But, it seems more likely that 2027 is more probable. These projects can take several years for the script, then gathering all of the stars to start filming.
Nonetheless, this is fantastic news!

Hallmark Stars In Other Productions
There are several Hallmark stars in upcoming productions outside of the feel-good network. Here is the latest news.
Missing The Boat star Kristoffer Polaha is starring in the upcoming MGM+ Shawn Ryan series American Hostage. He is reunited with Jon Hamm (Kris was in the early seasons of Mad Men). This also stars Mireille Enos, William Jackson Harper, and Giovanni Ribisi.
They are filming this production in Winnipeg from November 3, 2025, to February 5, 2026.
The Way Home star Andie MacDowell completed filming the final season of the pond jumping series and went straight into filming the Netflix romcom Guarding Stars.
In addition to Andie, this movie has an incredible cast! It stars Jared Padalecki, Leighton Meester, Noah LaLonde, CM Punk and Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas star, Toby Sandeman.
The filming schedule is all in Canada, but divided into two parts. They filmed from December 4, 2025, to December 20, 2025. They will be reunited in Calgary to complete filming, starting on February 17. There is no premiere date announced.
