Alison Sweeney On ‘Hannah Swensen’ Locked Room Mystery
The latest Hallmark mystery, Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery is a classic locked room mystery. This is a mystery where everyone is trapped together, and the killer is there. A good example of these types of mysteries is the Mystery Island series on Hallmark+.
Alison Sweeney, who wrote the script for Sugar & Vice, shared what this new Hannah Swensen Mystery is about.
“So, OK, so my idea for Sugar and Vice started with, you know, I’m a huge fan of old classic murder mysteries. So Agatha Christie’s always been one of my favorites. And just this idea of them being trapped together in one location.”
“You know, when the murder occurs, and having to figure out, like, who done it? And it’s someone in this part at this party. And of course, you know, there’s been some great examples of stories that are based in that. But, you know, classics.”
“And so I wanted to do the Hannah twist, you know, the Hannah fun of it. And we end up in a masquerade.”
When Is The ‘Sugar & Vice’ Premiere?
The new Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery premieres on Saturday, March 7, at 8 p.m. Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel. That’s right! This new mystery is premiering on the OG, not on Hallmark Mystery.
This new movie, which stars Alison Sweeney, Victor Webster, and Barbara Niven, will be available to stream on Hallmark+ starting on Sunday, March 8.
